To our APS Type 1 Support Family,

We would like to sincerely THANK YOU for your support with this years 2008 "Driving for a Cure" golf event. Although it was not the best weather, the sun was shining in our hearts!

The final numbers are in! This years event with outing proceeds, NORD direct checks, strong Corporate and Personal financial support we netted $20,141.52!!!, This is an incredible $7000 increase over our 2007 performance. This improvement was driven by three additional foursomes, more corporate sponsorship and holding our expenses in check. All of this could not have been accomplished without each of YOU!

We launched our first research grant in February of this year for $50,000 and NORD (National Organization of Rare Disorders) is receiving attractive bids for APS Type 1 Research worldwide! This event provides a great start for our next grant that we're hopeful to place in the Spring of 2010, and even larger in value! The more research that is done on this condition the better chance Gaby and all those that suffer with this condition have of finding a cure.
