I was diagnosed with APS1 when I was 7 and have lived with this disease for awhile now (I am 26). I have quite a few significant trouble areas both in and out of APS1 which make it difficult to keep my health and blood levels in good maintenance. My question, however, to you stems from a new diagnosis I received recently on 11/8/08. I have to say this is the first time this illness has scared me because I haven't know what to do or where to go for an answer. During my routine dental check-up on 11/8, my dentist told me that my tooth enamel was failing and I should consider options like crowns or dentures. He told me that not only would it be painful but it would be expensive. I am young, new to my career, a marriage and am unsure whether my dentist is right. My mother, a very wise and strong woman, pointed me in your direction so that I may be pointed in the right direction around this topic. I hope you can help me. Thank you very much for reading.
